 One day, a gecko was meandering in the wall. ஒரு நாள், ஒரு பல்லி (Gecko) சுவற்றில் அலைந்துகொண்டிருந்தது (Meandering).

It forfeited its tail while vaulting. அது, குதிக்கையில் (Vaulting) அதன் வாலை இழந்தது (Forefeited).

 

 
The gecko approached a dog, beseeching to endow its tail to it. பல்லி, ஒரு நாயை அணுகி, அதன் வாலை தனக்கு வழங்குமாறு (Endow) கெஞ்சியது (Beseeched).

 

The dog replied, "My tail shall forever be inclined. If you assimilate it, you risk a perilous descent." நாய், “என் வால் எப்போதும் வளைந்திருக்கும் (Inclined). அதை நீ மாட்டிக்கொண்டால் (Assimilate), அபாயகரமாக (Perilous) விழநேரிடும்.” என பதிலளித்தது.

The gecko then implored a tortoise for its tail. The tortoise, concealing its appendage within its shell, uttered, "I am devoid of a tail." பல்லி, ஒரு கல்லியிடம் அதனது வாலை தருமாறு கேட்டது (Implored : To Request Something). கல்லியோ, அதனது வாலை (Appendage) அதன் ஓட்டினுள் மறைத்துக்கொண்டு (Concealing), “நான் வாலற்றவன் (Devoid of A Tail)” என மொழிந்தது.

 

The gecko sought out a peacock, entreating for its tail. The peacock, adorned in vibrant plumage, declined, "My tail is an emblem of pride, not for others to possess." பல்லி, ஒரு சிகியை தேடிச்சென்று (Sought Out) அதனது வாலை வேண்டிக்கேட்டது (Entreating). பளிச்சென்ற இறகுகளால் (Plumage) அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த (Adorned) சிகியோ, “என் வால் பெருமையின் சின்னம் (Emblem of Pride)! அது பிறருக்கல்ல!” என மறுத்தது.

The gecko, eyeing a crocodile's tail, inquired if it could acquire it. Approaching an elephant, the gecko entreated for its tail, but the elephant declined, explaining that its tail serves as a crucial tool for swatting away bothersome insects. ஒரு கரியை அணுகி, அதன் வாலை தருமாறு கேட்டது பல்லி. ஆனால், கரியோ மறுத்து, தொல்லைதரும் (Bothersome) பூச்சிகளை விரட்டி துரத்துவதற்கு (Swatting Away) முக்கியமான ஒன்று தன் வால் தான் என விளக்கியது.

The gecko earnestly sought the chameleon's tail. Upon learning the cause, the ally gecko urged its friend to avert its gaze.
